An iMac is no small investment, so it’s a good idea to put in some time to make sure you’re getting the iMac that’s right for you at the best price.
That’s where we come in – the team here at Macworld is constantly looking for the best iMac deals from all over the web. Throughout the year, we spot the biggest and best deals from retailers in the UK and US, and list them all here in this article.
Until recently, there was one huge obstacle: the supply of the 24-inch iMac was limited, and it was difficult to buy one, let alone at a discount. The 24-inch iMac was out of stock in many locations, but 24-inch iMac inventories now appear to be at normal levels.
In March 2022, instead of updating the 27-inch iMac as expected, Apple removed if from its lineup. This means that the 27-inch iMac is no longer sold by Apple unless you find one in the Apple Refurbished Store. But you may find models available at resellers as they sell old stock and you can expect to find some good deals while they do this.
iMac Deals June 2022
Here are some of the best iMac deals we’re seeing right now.

In the United Kingdom:
- Amazon has the £1,449 pink model in stock for £1,149. The £1,649 models are also discounted: you can get the silver model for £1,328.
- Laptops Direct also cashed in on the £1,249 M1 iMac with 256GB of storage in silver: get it for £1,129.97.

What you need to know
In April 2021, Apple announced an update to the iMac: the 21.5-inch model was replaced by a completely redesigned 24-inch iMac that comes in a collection of seven different colors and is powered by Apple’s M1 chip. Read our review of the 2021 24-inch iMac.

That’s the smaller iMac, but what about the larger 27-inch model? Instead of updating the 27in iMac, Apple discontinued it in March 2022. This might not be the last we see of the bigger iMac: read 27in iMac discontinued, but not necessarily dead and rumors of the new iMac Pro.
Apple’s current and recent prices are listed below. Keep these prices in mind as you evaluate how good each deal is.

Where to buy an iMac
You can buy an iMac directly from Apple in the US or Apple UK, but there are plenty of stores and Apple Premium Resellers around the world that offer discounts on new and old Macs. Some Mac stores offer great discounts on Apple products and Apple accessories, so you should be able to save a few hundred pounds on some iMac setups.
However, beware. The Mac listed by the reseller may be an older model than the one Apple currently sells. We’ve seen resellers advertise Macs at a discount based on the price they were previously sold by Apple, even after Apple started selling a newer Mac for the same price – so the deal often looks better than it actually does is. So pay close attention to the age and specifications of the machine being sold, and do not automatically assume that it is current.
To get an idea of what the old model should be worth, take a look at Apple’s refurbished store to see what Apple is selling the older version for (and remember that if you’re buying from Apple, even if it has been refurbished, you get a full year warranty).
And for another way to save money on a new Apple product, learn how to trade-in old products at Apple and other resellers and get cash. Read: How Apple Trade-In Works and Saves You Money.
We regularly see Mac-related deals from the following UK and US retailers:
U.S
UK
Apple has a number of Apple Premium resellers in the UK that stock Macs and also offer other services:
From time to time, Amazon has lightning deals, which can give you a discount if you act quickly. If you’ve found you’re missing out on Amazon’s Lightning deals, which only run for a few hours and offer limited stock, we recommend signing up for Amazon’s 30-day free trial of Prime, which gives you access to deals 30 minutes for everyone. Plus, you get free next day delivery with the Prime trial, as well as access to Prime Instant Video and more. Sign up for Prime here.
Best Refurbished iMac Deals
One of the best places to look for iMac deals all year round is the Apple Refurbished Store. There you will find huge iMac discounts, sometimes even on the latest models. These iMacs were returned to Apple for various reasons and then completely redesigned, ready for resale. One of the main benefits of buying a refurbished Mac from Apple is that it comes with a one-year warranty, so Apple can repair or replace it for free if anything happens during that first year.
You won’t be able to tell the difference between a refurbished iMac and a brand new iMac except for the box it comes in, which is white to prevent people from buying them and trying to sell them as new. Read more about buying a refurbished iMac here.
There are often deals on refurbished iMacs with M1 chip, but they often sell out quickly, so we recommend checking regularly. Check out this page in the UK and the US Refurb Store page is here.
- We’ve seen a fully spec’d 24-inch iMac, with Apple M1 chip with 8-Core CPU and 8-Core GPU, 16GB RAM and 1TB SSD for £1,739 / $1,609 in the Refurb Store – a saving of £310 / $490 off the normal £2,049 / $2,099 price.
- The entry-level 24-inch iMac M1 (with 8-core CPU and 7-core GPU) costs $1,099 (a saving of $200 over the usual price of $1,299).
- The mid-range model (with 8-core CPU and 8-core GPU and 256GB SSD) costs $1,269 in the US (a saving of $230 over the usual price of $1,499). In the UK you can get the mid-range model for £1,229, which is a saving of £220 over the usual price of £1,449.
- In the US, you can save $260 on the 24-inch iMac with M1 chip with 8‑Core CPU and 8‑Core GPU, and 512GB SSD (in blue), normally $1,699, but you can get it for $ 1,430. The same deal is available in the UK: save £250 on the same 24-inch iMac, normally £1,649, but you can get it for £1,399.
Amazon also has a certified refurbished store for Apple products, but we don’t recommend buying any products that are more than five years old – unfortunately most of the products we see in the refurbished Amazon store are very old.
